Sesame cultivation has tripled

This year, in the summer growing season, 1307 hectares of agricultural lands in Ramhormoz city were planted with sesame.
Membini – The director of agriculture of Ramhormoz city announced this news and added: Last year, only 460 hectares of agricultural lands of Ramhormoz city were under sesame cultivation.
He pointed out: Due to the high costs of rice cultivation and water restrictions in summer in the current crop year, the area under sesame cultivation in the city has increased about three times compared to last year.
Membini emphasized: it is predicted that 1000 tons of crop will be obtained from this amount of sesame cultivated area.
He said: in this regard, it is necessary for the relevant authorities and authorities to set up guaranteed purchase centers for farmers’ products.
