The CEO of Yasuj Carpet Company said: This province ranks second in Iran in terms of Gabbeh production.
Mehrdad Kaviani added: Gabbeh, 4 woolen carpets, fine Qashqai kalk and silk are among the most important products produced in the province, which are produced by 500 women weavers at home.
He stated: With the arrival of the private sector to produce hand-woven carpets, the situation of the province’s carpets has improved compared to before, and we are facing an increase in the production of these hand-woven industries in the province.
The CEO of Yasuj Carpet Company pointed out: Sadat Mahmoudi Dena village, Gachsaran city, Yasuj city and Kohgiluyeh city are the most important places for producing hand-woven carpets in this province.
Kaviani stated: Following the preservation of the originality of the province’s carpets and the introduction of weavers, all the hand-woven carpets of Yasuj weavers with the name of the weaver and the province are sold in domestic and foreign markets through the carpet sales office in Tehran.
He considered the lack of ancillary industries for carpet production as one of the most important problems of the province’s carpet department and added: lack of ancillary industries such as weaving, hand-woven carpet embroidering, straightening and polishing, lack of proper spinning and weaving factory, lack of dyeing workshop, lack of ward The able private sector in the production of carpets and ancillary industries, the entry of the private sector outside the province and the transfer of the province’s products to domestic and foreign markets with the name of the province is one of the most important problems facing the province’s carpet production.
The CEO of Yasuj Carpet Company added: The provincial carpet department introduced all weavers who have skill cards to the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization to receive insurance, and most of the weavers were covered by health services insurance.
Kaviani stated: Yasuj is ranked second in Iran in terms of Gabbeh production, while we have a relatively good quality in terms of production of fine-textured wool carpets, tricks and silk.
In the end, he added: if the budget for carpet education is allocated 100%, this province can be turned into a suitable area for the production of suitable and quality handicrafts, and more people can be employed.
