Shiraz rice cherry is the same food that is prepared using sour and juicy cherries and is one of the most popular foods in the summer season among the people of Shiraz.

INGREDIENTS :

  • Cherries with kernels = 1.5 kg
  • Minced meat = 300 grams
  • Saffron = as needed
  • Sugar = 800 grams
  • Rice = 6 cups
  • Salt and pepper = as needed

INSTRUCTION :

To get started, soak the rice and soak it in plenty of salt.
Wash the cherries well and remove the kernels.
Next, sprinkle sugar over them and let them cook for 10 to 20 minutes after boiling.
Just be careful not to overcook the cherries.
When fully cooked, strain them and set aside the prepared syrup.
Cook the rice in a suitable pot and drain it.
Then, mash the minced meat with a grated onion and salt.
Then cut the meat into small balls and fry in some hot oil.
At the bottom of the pot, arrange sliced ​​potatoes or lavash bread and a layer of drained rice and a layer of cherries and dumplings.
Keep doing this until the rice and ingredients are completely finished.
If you add a little powdered saffron to the rice, you will have a more colorful rice.
Finally, pour two to three tablespoons of oil on the rice and brew it.
After the rice is fully brewed, pull it into the desired container and decorate.
