Shirazi salad is one of the most popular Iranian salads that is very easy to prepare and the necessary ingredients are usually available in most homes. This salad is popular all over Iran, but its origin is related to Farsh province and Shiraz city.

INGREDIENTS :

  • Cucumber (large) = 1 pcs
  • Tomatoes (medium) = 2 pcs
  • Onion (small) = 1 pcs
  • Dried mint = to the extent necessary
  • Parsley (Chopped up) = to the extent necessary
  • Sour lemon = as needed
  • Salt = to the extent necessary
  • Pepper = to the extent necessary

INSTRUCTION :

First, wash the cucumber and chop it with or without the skin in a medium gem. To do this, separate the head of the cucumber and make vertical cuts close to each other on it, and then turn the cucumber and make slices perpendicular to the created slices, and after a height of half an inch, chop it and continue until the end.
Then mix the cucumber with a little salt.
Take the heads of the tomatoes and if they are loose, empty them and chop them finely. Try to be about the size of a cucumber. Peel a squash, grate it and chop finely.
Now pour the cucumber, tomato and onion into a bowl and mix together and add some pepper, dried mint, parsley, salt and sour lemon juice on it and prepare it for serving.

Hints:
1- It is better to keep the salad in the refrigerator for half an hour after it is ready.
2- Adding some chopped bell peppers will make your salad more delicious.
3- If you wish, use juice, orange juice or any other pickle instead of lemon juice.
