He added: Since the beginning of this year, 4 million pieces of hot-water and cold-water juveniles have been released by the public and private sectors in the farms of this province.
The governor of Ardabil, proposing the formation of a fish breeders’ union in Ardabil province, said: Fish farming has started in some nomadic summers in the foothills of Sabalan, and this year the breeding of freshwater king prawns will be carried out in Shurabil Lake in Ardabil.
Haghighatpour, noting that the per capita consumption of fish in this province with 7 kg and 400 g is lower than the national average, added: Cooperation with the private sector to invest in the production of canned food and mixed foods from fish meat in this province has begun.
