Small capital handicrafts low income
Deputy of Handicrafts and Traditional Arts of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Kermanshah Province said: out of 350 approved handicrafts in Iran, 60 of them will be made and produced in Kermanshah Province.
On the fifth night of the Kermanshah Cultural Week program on Qeshm Island, Parvaneh Heydari said that Kermanshah has well-known artists and craftsmen.
Heidari described handicrafts as a clear example of resistance economy, action and practice and added: Handicrafts have a high added value, so that with a small investment, a good income can be earned in this way.
Referring to the establishment of 23 booths at the Kermanshah Cultural Week exhibition on Qeshm Island, the official said: These booths include 12 handicrafts in the province, including local clothes, Kaveh Kermanshahi, kilim weaving, mirror work and traditional saraji. In addition to these items, Kermanshah souvenir booths, including rice bread and cooking local dishes in Siah Chador, are also located at the exhibition site.
The Deputy Minister of Handicrafts of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Kermanshah Province, referring to the exhibition from January 7 to 12, said: During the first four nights of the exhibition, we had sales of more than one billion rials in the field of handicrafts and souvenirs.
Heidari added: Fortunately, the people of Qeshm Island welcomed the handicrafts and souvenirs of Kermanshah to such an extent that some stalls sold all their products and products in the first three nights and now handicrafts such as men’s Kurdish clothes, Kaveh Kermanshahi and Tanbur and Kermanshah souvenirs are also sold with rice bread.
