South Khorasan is the first producer of barberry and jujube

The head of the Jihad Agricultural Organization of South Khorasan said: this province has the first rank of barberry and jujube production, the second rank of saffron and cotton production, the fifth rank of daffodil flower production and has 800 plant species.

Gholamreza Haderbadi stated: The advantageous products of the agricultural sector of South Khorasan province have a national aspect.

He announced a joint meeting between the researchers of the research departments of the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute of Iran and the Jihad Agricultural Organization of this province and said: Considering that the achievements of the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute of Iran are important, the research institute Let’s use.

Hadrabadi added: There are 606 thousand hectares of forests in South Khorasan province, for example, in Nehbandan city there are 55 thousand hectares of semi-dense forests, so the reproduction of rare species such as pistachio can be another area of ​​cooperation with the research institute.

Regarding plant pests, he said: Considering the 13-year droughts in the province and the influx of pests to the agricultural and horticultural parts of the province, the problem of turnip has not been completely solved in the province and this issue can be one of the areas of cooperation with the research institute.
