Special place of Malayer raisins in export and economy of Hamedan
The special governor of Malayer said:
this city has the top rank in the province in five crops of grapes, almonds, chicken, eggs and honey.
Hassan Kherianpour in the groundbreaking ceremony of Malayer University Grape and Raisin Research Institute added:
Due to the great importance of grapes in Malayer and the province,
the establishment of such a research institute was one of the most important needs of the city and today
we see the start of the project at Malayer University.
Referring to the annual harvest of 220,000 tons of grapes from 60% of the province’s grape production lands in Malayer, he said:
33,000 tons of raisins are exported annually from Malayer to 30 countries and other grape derivatives are produced in the city.
Kherianpour considered the establishment of a research institute and the holding of a national conference on grapes and raisins at Malayer
University very useful and said: This issue can play a role in the production of grapes in the city in terms of quantity and quality.
He mentioned the establishment of Malayer customs and the creation of a dry economic special zone in Samen
region as other main needs of the city and an effective step in promoting the region’s economy and said:
the special economic zone,
customs and grape research institute complement each other and play an important role. Have in the production of the city.
The deputy governor of Hamedan also called for the establishment of a virtual training
center for universities in the west of the country at Malayer University.
