Sturgeon stocks were assessed
Autumn tour of the sturgeon stock assessment project with the participation of Golestan Fisheries Research Center, Caspian Sea Ecology Research Institute (Mazandaran) and Dr. Dadman International Sturgeon Research Institute (Rasht) was successful from 9/19/88 to 10/4/88. .
In order to implement the above project, sampling is done seasonally in two ways: 1- Trawl 2- Livestock from Astara to Turkan.
In the trawling method, trawling in 55 stations at depths of 10 to 100 meters with a floor trawl of 24.7 meters for 30 minutes in each station by Guilan research ship and trawling in 35 stations at a depth of 2 to 10 meters with a trawl of 9 meters to It takes 30 minutes at each station by the Sisra float. In the livestock method, livestock in 14 regions (Golestan 4 regions, Mazandaran 5 regions and Gilan 5 regions) and at depths of 2, 5 and 10 meters by 18 carnivorous livestock in the size of springs 26, 33, 40, 100 and 150 mm with a length of 30 Meters and a height of 3.5 to 4 meters for one night.
The responsibility for trawling has been with the Caspian Sea Ecology Research Institute. A total of 41 caviar were caught, of which 32 (78%) were Iranian sturgeon, 7 (17%) were ozone and 2 (5 percent) were Russian sturgeon.
Also, 16 Iranian sturgeon were caught in livestock in 5 regions of Mazandaran. According to the results, Iranian sturgeon has the highest percentage of catch, which is probably due to artificial reproduction and release of Iranian sturgeon into the river.
