Supportive purchase of 1300 kg of saffron in North Khorasan
The Deputy Minister of Commerce of the North Khorasan Rural Cooperative Organization announced the supportive purchase of 1,300 kilograms of saffron since the beginning of this month.
Najafi said: Supportive purchase of saffron from saffron growers in the province will continue until the end of this month.
He added: each kilogram of premium saffron has been purchased at a price of 13.5 and high quality straw at a price of 10.5 million Tomans.
Najafi continued: The supportive purchase price of saffron has increased by about 25% this year compared to last year.
According to him, the support purchase of saffron will continue for a month.
The official stated: It is predicted that the amount of saffron purchased this year will be more than one ton.
Referring to the launch of a saffron flower market in the city of Farooj, he said: The purpose of launching this market was to organize the purchase price of saffron flowers.
He stated: In this regard, 30 booths were reopened and people in this place bought and sold flowers, and now with the end of the flower harvest, this bazaar was also collected.
The Deputy Minister of Commerce of the North Khorasan Trade Organization said: 30 to 40 tons of saffron flowers were bought and sold daily in this market.
It is worth mentioning that 765 tons of saffron were purchased from farmers in the province last year.
