Tabriz carpet is the first carpet brand in the world
Vice President and Head of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization, stating that Tabriz carpet is the first brand of carpet in the world, said: Although other countries copy Tabriz carpet, but still Tabriz carpet plays the leading role in the world.
Masoud Soltanifar said at the ceremony in Tabriz, the world city of carpet weaving: No country can produce Iranian carpets and carpets have long been effective in employment, exports and livelihoods of the people of East Azerbaijan and Iran.
Referring to the registration of Tabriz as the world city of hand-woven carpets, he said: With this selection, Tabriz carpets will be the first in the world and Tabriz artists who have created unique works in the carpet industry will have a more prominent presence in world markets.
Soltanifar said about the effect of registering Tabriz as a world city of hand-woven carpets on the development of the region’s tourism industry: Before, Tabriz and Azerbaijan were one of the tourist destinations, and after this selection, the region’s tourism industry will flourish more.
Pointing out that the country will enter a new political situation with the implementation of the UN Security Council, he said: With the plan of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution and the management of the President, Iran’s nuclear rights were recognized and based on this, the foundations of sanctions are ready to collapse.
He added: The implementation of Borjam will affect the economic development of the country and will provide a new opportunity for progress and development in various fields for the country.
The head of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization said: The selection of Tabriz is also based on the improvement of these interactions and collaborations with international organizations.
He continued: With the increase of exports and activities related to the field of carpets as a result of these international cooperation, the resistance economy, which is emphasized by the Supreme Leader, will be realized.
Regarding the construction of a specialized carpet museum in Tabriz, Soltanifar emphasized: We must prepare the Tabriz Carpet Museum by next year’s government week at the latest.
He emphasized: Carpet weavers, designers, designers, raw material producers and Tabriz carpet merchants, by earning this honor, should consider a great mission for the development of this art industry.
