Ten percent increase in the production of first-class tea in Iran
The head of the country’s tea organization said: despite the 10-day delay in the beginning of the green tea leaf harvest, the production of first-class dry tea increased by about 10% this year.
Habib Jahansaz said: Since the beginning of China on May 29, 7,000 tons of quality dry tea has been produced in 160 tea factories in Gilan and Mazandaran.
He added: This amount of dry tea was extracted from 32,000 tons of green tea leaves purchased from tea growers in the north of the country.
