The added value of walnut products is low in the country
Dr. Behrouz Moradi, the governor of Hamedan, said at the ceremony: Walnut is at the top of all Tuyserkan activities and any success that is created in this field should be done by considering the symbol of this city and the promotion of this product should be considered.
He continued: Walnuts have always played a significant role in the development of the province’s agricultural economy, and today, by holding scientific programs, the role of walnuts in various industries can be prevented so that the world can benefit from this product in the future.
The director general of the market development and trade office of the Ministry of Jihad for Agriculture said: The walnut tree is a symbol for the Tuyserkan. The walnut covers the land in terms of sustainable development, and when it becomes a tree, it protects water and soil.
Mohammad Reza Shafeinia continued: In the cultural dimension, each product depends on a specific place and the amount of production does not indicate it. In another place, walnut production may be higher than Tuyserkan, but considering that it is associated with culture and people here, when the name walnut comes, everyone Remember the Tuyserkans.
He added: Walnut wood has a special place in terms of beauty and resistance, and walnut skin is also used in the dyeing industry. Walnut leaves have antimicrobial and healing properties, and walnut kernel is more than a food product, it is a medicine.
Shafeinia pointed out: The added value of walnut products in the country is very low and the number of export bonuses will increase to expand its exports.
The head of the Hamedan Agricultural Jihad Organization also spoke about the role of walnuts in the development of Tuyserkan and continued: Holding a walnut festival is a good way to better introduce and develop the export of this product.
Hossein Rajabian added: Efforts in the prosperity of the villages are of great value and in this regard, all executive bodies should develop the agricultural and industrial sectors in the villages and create more employment in them.
Referring to the 4.5 million tons of agricultural production in the province, he said: More than 50% of employees are in the agricultural sector and 27% of the province’s value added belongs to this sector.
