The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Rudan city said: the area under onion cultivation in Rudan city is more than 1100 hectares, in which more than 400 people are active.

Majid Amaei in Rudan added: Onion planting in Rudan starts in September in the treasury and in October it is transferred to the main land and its harvest starts from February and continues until the end of April.

Referring to the 25% reduction in the area under cultivation and onion production in Rudan, he stated: It is predicted that more than 27,000 tons of onion will be harvested from the lands under cultivation of this crop by the end of the harvest season, of which more than 95% has been harvested so far.

The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Rudan city said: more than 95% of the lands under onion cultivation in Rudan are equipped with a pressurized irrigation system.

Amaei reminded: the harvested product will be sent to Tehran, Isfahan, Kerman, Yazd and Fars provinces.
