The beginning of the grape harvest from the vineyards of the city of Frieden
Ramin Rostami, director of Frieden Agricultural Jihad, added: It is expected that more than 410 tons of grapes with an average yield of 4.5 tons per hectare will be harvested this year.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Frieden city emphasized: the characteristic of grape product in Frieden is the use of the permitted level of chemical fertilizers and in terms of the climatic conditions of the region, healthy and organic grapes are produced in this city.
Rostami also announced the harvest of potatoes from the area of 3,500 hectares of farms in the city of Frieden and said: the harvest of potatoes will begin in mid-September and will continue until the end of October.
He added: Cultivated cultivars include Agria, Arinda, Bourne, Sante, Satina, Santana, Geely, Milwa, Bamba and Savalan and the average yield is 25 tons per hectare.
Rostami continued: It is expected that 88,000 tons of potato products will be harvested from the city’s farms.
The director of Frieden Agricultural Jihad announced the cultivation of barley in 12 hectares of the city’s farms and said: the cultivated irrigated cultivars include Bahman and cb8410 and the dry cultivars include the local mass and Abidar.
Rostami, stating that 700 hectares of this area is dedicated to irrigated barley and 500 hectares to dryland barley, added: it is expected that 3,200 tons of barley will be harvested from Frieden farms.
