The cost of white rice in Gilan will be reduced
The head of Gilan Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization said: reducing the cost of white rice production and reducing the range of rice production are other achievements of equipping paddy fields.
Alireza Shabannejad, regarding the process of equipping 10,000 hectares of paddy fields in Gilan, which is currently underway, said: The speed of equipping paddy fields is going according to plan and is going through a favorable process.
He added: We plan to complete the equipping and integration of 10,000 hectares of paddy lands in Gilan by May so that farmers can plant rice in their fields with ease.
Shabannejad pointed out that with the completion of equipping Gilan paddy fields, we will see more effective water management in Gilan rice production, noted: Reducing the cost of white rice production and reducing rice production range is another achievement of equipping paddy fields and with the completion of 10,000 hectares We will see a reduction in the cost of white rice in Gilan.
The head of Gilan Agricultural Jihad Organization further pointed out that every year before the start of the new crop season, a working group consisting of meteorological managers, crisis management, regional water company and Gilan Agricultural Jihad in a meeting to determine the agricultural calendar of paddy farmers, specified: This calendar, which runs from winter each year to winter the following year, is timed to begin winter plowing, sowing seeds, releasing water from the SpeedRoad Dam, preparing agricultural machinery, and dredging streams.
افزود He added: the agricultural calendar of paddy farmers is compiled every year based on short and long term meteorological data and is communicated to all cities of the province.
The head of the Guilan Jihad Agricultural Organization stated that the annual calendar of the paddy farmers’ crop season is compiled in the two parts of east and west of Guilan, and specified: so far, winter plowing has been done in 16% of Guilan’s paddy fields.
Gilan has 238,000 hectares of paddy fields, of which 180,000 hectares are supplied by the Sepid Rud reservoir dam and the rest of the paddy fields are supplied by dams, rivers, springs and wells.
