The effect of walnuts in the treatment of oral plague and tonsillitis
The expert in charge of medicinal plants of the East Azerbaijan Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization said: Squeezed or boiled walnut leaves and the fleshy part of its green fruit are recommended in the treatment of oral plague and tonsillitis.
Asghar Naghshi added: Fruit kernel, green peel and walnut leaves have medicinal uses and walnut kernel contains various minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium and sulfur, and eating it relieves nervous disorders, anxiety and lethargy.
He continued: The leaves of the walnut tree and the fleshy part of its unripe fruit are considered bitter tonics and have a strengthening and anti-parasitic effect.
The expert in charge of medicinal plants of the East Azerbaijan Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization reminded: Experts recommend the inhaled consumption of walnut outer shell to prevent hair loss.
Naqshi stated: The extract of the outer and green shell of the walnut is used for chronic diarrhea or as a tonic in anemia.
Referring to the strengthening of the liver with a decoction of the fleshy part of the walnut fruit, he said: The decoction strengthens the liver and improves some liver disorders such as hepatitis and biliary tract disorders.
He considered the role of walnuts in improving knee pain and emphasized: the oil obtained from crushing walnut kernels is useful in opening blood vessels and treating knee and shoulder pains.
