The ceremony of the first mechanized rice harvest in the country was held in Amol.

Yadollah Akbarzadeh, the governor of Amol in the village, referring to 38,400 hectares of arable land in Amol, said: Last year, 260,000 tons of rice and 160,000 tons of white rice were produced in these farms, which in fact is more than 4 rice. It provides millions of Iranians and was named the center of Mazandaran’s agricultural industry.

Akbarzadeh, while referring to the purchase of 190 combine harvesters, seedlings and tractors in 2012, stated: Last year, 5 billion Tomans of facilities were considered for the development of Amol agriculture.

The governor of Amol, referring to the 35% increase in mechanized cultivation in 1392 compared to the previous year, stated: With the cooperation of villages, districts and governorships and Amol Jihad-e-Keshavarzi in 1391, there was a 34% increase in agricultural insurance.

He described the lack of agricultural water as one of the most important concerns of the people of Amol and neighboring cities and added: Replanting is also very effective.

Referring to the third rice cultivation for the first time in Amol in 2012, Akbarzadeh stated: In 2012, 2,960 hectares of land were planted with lettuce and 2,150 hectares of land were planted with rapeseed and more than 5,000 Tons of rapeseed were produced in Amol.

The governor of Amol expressed and acknowledged one of the important problems of Amol: the unification and integration of lands: so far, 15% of the lands have been integrated in Amol, and it is hoped that this will be achieved sooner in this city with the care of the governor and Jihad-e-Keshavarzi.

In the end, Akbarzadeh announced a 12% growth in rice production in Amol this year.
