The governor of Khorasan Razavi said: organizing the problems for the development and trade of saffron products is in line with the priorities of the province’s management.

Mohammad Sadegh Motamedian in a joint meeting with members of the National Saffron Council said: Saffron is a strategic product in the country and the province, which is a priority in terms of implementing the policies of resistance economy and export development for the management of the province.

He said: Considering the importance of this product and its compatibility with the climate of the province, it requires that the responsible agencies in the fields of export development, providing the necessary infrastructure and introducing the product to different countries do their best.

Motamedian pointed out: Problems in organizing the development and trade of saffron products should be clearly counted and solved in consultation with the responsible agencies.

According to the report of the General Public Relations Office of Khorasan Razavi Governorate, it is worth mentioning that in this meeting, a number of activists in the field of saffron production, processing and export presented their views on the province’s capacity in production and trade of this product and problems in this field.
