The latest situation of pistachio date and raisin export
The president of the union of dried fruit exporters said:
Exported pistachios in terms of weight in the first three months of this year compared to the same period
last year had a 42 percent weight loss and 25 percent value loss.
Mohammad Hossein Shamsfard stated:
During this period, raisins have decreased by 4% in terms of value and dates by about 22% in terms of weight and 21% in terms of value,
but figs have increased in terms of weight and value.
He said:
Last year, the pistachio whose product is sold this year was 200,000 tons and the pistachio in 2010,
the product of which was sold in 2011, was 170,000 tons.
One of the reasons for the decline in exports is the lack of product, because every year until the arrival of a new product,
the product of the previous year is sold, he said, noting that dried fruit exporters are shutting down due to hard work and various issues.
It was imported or exported, but this year last year’s product was finished, so we have no stock for export.
