Mohseni, Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Ilam Province, referring to the 2,000-year-old art of Woodturning Industry in Iran, said: It is in the country.
Woodturning art usually uses waste and disposable wood, he said. The cost of raw materials in this art industry is almost zero.
Referring to the capacity of Mehran International Border and paying attention to the export of this historical art, Mohseni said: Woodturning works of Ilam province have their customers in international exhibitions in Tajikistan, Italy and Spain. We are Europeans.
The Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Ilam Province stated that the activity of Woodturning workshops, in addition to creating jobs, has an important role in preserving this art of industry, adding: In Ilam Province, more than 30 people are working in this profession.
