The subterranean role is preserved in the texture of kashmar carpets

Iranians have long valued carpets, one of the hallmarks of Iranian culture; Carpet has a special place among Iranian families as an art and an industry, and the art of carpet weaving can be considered the peak of creativity and art among the tribes of a land.
Abdullah Ahrari, a member of the Iranian Carpet Scientific Association, said about Kashmar carpets: Kashmar carpets, like other carpets in the country, have a historical background. In the past, Kashmar region was the most important center of Baluchi carpet weaving, especially since the types and varieties of Baluchi carpets were woven in the rural areas of Kashmar and Kuhsorkh.
This carpet researcher said: In the contemporary era, especially in the 40s and 50s, with the establishment of the late Alipour, who was one of the skilled masters, a map called underground map or jar bowl became common in this region. The naming of this carpet is due to the fact that the space of Kashmar carpet is as if archeological operations have been done.
Ahrari added: The late Alipour’s underground map became one of the original maps of this region. In fact, Kashmir carpets are bright and transparent in terms of color, and there are currently many rusting workshops in the city.
He continued: One of the main sources of income for the people of Kashmar city is provided by carpet weaving and many producers in this city are producing carpets. It should be noted that in smaller rural areas there are still traces of Baluchi carpet weaving, but in larger villages and the city of Kashmar itself, most of the large fabric carpets are woven in sizes of 6, 9 and 12 meters and sometimes even more than 12 meters. .
A member of the Iranian Carpet Scientific Association said about the dyes used in Kashmar carpets: In Kashmar city, both natural dyes and chemical dyes are used in carpets. Of course, wool and silk are mostly used for carpet weaving in this city, and carpet taropods are mostly made of cotton.
Unfortunately, some weavers and manufacturers use viscose, which is a cheap cellulose fiber, instead of silk in carpet weaving, Ahrari explained. Kashmir carpet designs today are very diverse and some producers in this region, which includes Kashmar, Bardaskan and Khalilabad, use Nain designs and weave quasi-Nain.
He added: Some of the weavers and producers in this region also use Tabriz designs, leading to a smaller number and weaving, but still some of the designs of Mashhad and the underground map itself is one of the main carpet designs of Kashmar city. Is.
This carpet researcher stated: In fact, Kashmar city is considered as the center of carpet production in Khorasan Razavi province after Mashhad and Neishabour, and it has continued in the same way now. Kashmar city is one of the few cities in the province where both women and men in Carpet weaving workshops are engaged in carpet weaving.
Ahrari continued: Most designers in Khorasan province, after Mashhad, live in Kashmar, and famous designers in this city are designing carpet designs; In addition to selling in this city, Kashmar carpet has its own fans in Mashhad carpet market, Tehran carpet market and many countries in the world, and economically, Kashmar carpet is a carpet that the middle class can buy at reasonable prices. .
Regarding the position of Master Alipour in carpet weaving, he clarified: Master Alipour lived in this city for nearly four years and was able to make important effects on Kashmar carpet in this short period of time. These influences have been in the field of natural color, the use of high quality raw materials and especially the focus on the color scheme of the map. The underground project is also due to the activities of this master who still has many fans.
A member of the Iranian Carpet Scientific Association said: Of course, contemporary designers have also made changes to the subterranean design in terms of color and motif; The designers worked on the designs of the four seasons, and in fact they were inspired by the designs and designs of other cities, and in designing the Kashmir carpet, they used motifs and motifs from other regions, especially the Mashhad carpet.
Currently, the advantage of Kashmir carpets is that manufacturers and weavers have learned to consult a designer and pay for carpet design, Ahrari said. In the past, most lacquer and navy colors were used in the texture of Kashmir carpets, but now most light colors such as cream have replaced the previous colors, and this is mostly due to changing people’s tastes in buying carpets.
