There is no buying and selling in the handicraft market
Mohammad Abdollahi, president of the Union of Traders of Handicrafts and Old Objects, said about the situation of handicrafts:
Currently, there are no sales in the market and 600 official units are actively working in Tehran.
The number of tourists has decreased in recent months,he said. We hope that the market will expand and we will be able to see a boom.
Abdullahi continued:
The prosperity and leap of production in handicrafts will pave the way for inclusive development in all rural and tourist areas.
I have to say; Today, the export of Iranian handicrafts abroad has caused these items to find their place in modern societies.
Artists need to produce this art to fit the needs of today’s society, and this section needs to be more active so that we can bring some of the cities that have the most handicrafts and traditional arts in history back to the production cycle as creative cities.
