Third place in East Azerbaijan in grape production
The deputy head of the East Azerbaijan Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization said:
There are 290,000 hectares of vineyards in the whole country,
and East Azerbaijan province ranks fourth in terms of area under cultivation with 7.6% and third in grape production.
Ayub Irani Pham at the closing ceremony of the second grape festival and the first Dushab festival in Malekan added:
There are 24,000 hectares of vineyards in East Azerbaijan province and Malekan city with 11,000 hectares of vineyards is the first in the province.
He considered the holding of such festivals to identify the potential of cities in terms of the agricultural sector,

He considered the conversion of vineyards from traditional to Russian to use water resources optimally and also to prevent the amount of damage
as one of the Jihad-e-Agriculture programs of the province and said:

He pointed to the existence of quality and sweet grapes in Malekan city
and considered it as a result of climatic and geographical location and suitable soil for the production of this product.
The deputy of Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization of the province emphasized on paying attention to the quality of grapes
and processing for export and said:
considering that 90% of grapes are processed and exported to different countries,
so paying attention to production and processing quality and packaging is necessary for export development. Is.
He informed about the monitoring of Malekan grapes by the phytosanitary clinics of this city and added:
these clinics regularly monitor the vineyards and are in contact with the gardeners to identify
the pests of the crop in a non-chemical way and to use agricultural pesticides with expert opinion.
Irani considered the establishment of conversion industries in Malekan city as another priority of Jihad-e-Agriculture in the province and said:
The Agricultural Sector Development Fund also intends to provide the necessary support to farmers by developing the branches of this fund
in the cities.
He added:
Also, Jihad-e-Keshavarzi of the province intends to equip the gardens of the province
with garden heaters and anti-hail nets by granting banking facilities in order to prevent and reduce frost and hail damage.
