UNESCO Seal of Originality for 4 Handicrafts of North Khorasan
Director General of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of the province said: So far, four products of UNESCO originality seal for 4 handicrafts of North Khorasan handicrafts of the province, including kilim Kurdish tablecloth, brooch, night tent and necklace with carved stone, seal of originality of UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization “UNESCO” has taken over.
Habib Yazdanpanah, referring to the existence of 61 active handicrafts in the province, added: “Of these, 51 have a national mark on the quality of goods.”
He said that handicrafts show the identity and culture of the people of each region, adding that the culture and diversity of the province’s tribes are reflected in the role and paintings of the province’s handicrafts, which is valuable.
Yazdanpanah, referring to the special programs of the handicrafts week, added: “On this occasion, a handicrafts exhibition will be held in Bosh Qardash Park in Bojnourd and we invite all those interested to attend this exhibition.”
1,200 historical monuments have been identified in North Khorasan, of which 612 are historical, natural and spiritual.
