Ismail Ghanbari, a Urmia mosaic artist, said: Despite the historical monuments of many mosaics in Urmia, unfortunately, due to lack of information, people are not very familiar with this field.
He added: Lack of proper advertising and information is one of the most important problems of mosaic art in West Azerbaijan province, which can be created by culture, education and study in the field of handicrafts, especially mosaic art, in order to introduce this field and other handicrafts, and It also took effective steps to create jobs for the country’s young generation.
Ghanbari said: Considering that handicraft artists do not have enough financial resources, holding domestic and foreign exhibitions and participating in exhibitions can be fruitful in this regard.
He called for the support of handicraft artists in the province and said: In this regard, we should promote the sale and export of handicraft products by providing the grounds for attending domestic exhibitions and offering products in foreign exhibitions.
He added: The appropriate time and place for the exhibition and previous information to all provincial agencies and officials in order to support artists is another factor that encourages artists and craftsmen in the province.
Ismail Ghanbari, a Urmia mosaic artist, won two national quality awards in 2013 for creating unique works such as the Summer Vase and the Qeshlaq Vase. It is safe to say that his work is unique.
He has 23 years of experience and is currently working in Urmia, Razi Street, his personal mosaic workshop.
Wood and handicrafts derived from it have a long history in Urmia, so that the wooden arts of this city are known for carving and mosaic work in the country, and wooden handicrafts are one of the souvenirs of travelers from this city. .
