Walnut and olive harvest began in Lorestan province

The director of horticulture of Lorestan Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization announced the beginning of walnut and olive harvest in the orchards of the province.
Engineer Baharvand added: Walnut harvest has started from 16,182 hectares of orchards in the province.
Baharvand, pointing out that the average walnut harvest in the province is 1800 kg, said: 13 thousand 592 tons of walnuts have been harvested from this amount under cultivation.
He continued by stating that the area under olive cultivation in the province is 2,262 hectares: 1878 tons of olives have been harvested from the total fruitful orchards of the province.
According to the director of horticulture of the Jihad Agricultural Organization of the province, the highest area of olive groves is in Khorramabad city with 1100 hectares.
