Walnuts reduce stress by 2 to 3 times

Researchers believe that a diet rich in walnuts may reduce stress.
According to new findings, eating a handful of walnuts regularly affects the blood pressure response to stress. People who have severe biological reactions to stress are at higher risk for heart disease. Walnuts and walnut oil reduce blood pressure response to stress by two to three times.
Walnuts are a rich source of fiber, antioxidants, and unsaturated fatty acids, especially alpha-linolenic acid. Alpha-linolenic acid is an omega-3 fatty acid that researchers believe could explain the positive effects on blood pressure.
