Yalmah handmade carpet
South of the Bakhtiari area is the site of the Yalmah Lur and a clan of lurks whose weavers have woven geometric-style carpets that contradict Bakhtiari’s designs.
The colors used in Yalmai carpets are typically light blue, navy, brown, red and juicy white, and sometimes the carpets themselves are woven into the area.
Yalmeh is a tribe of Bakhtiari tribe south of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari region and its people are carpet weaving alongside livestock and their carpet market is Shahrekord, Isfahan and Shiraz. The center of the textures of the Yalmah carpets is in Borujen, Ali Abad, Talakhounche, Sadegh Abad, and the outskirts of Shahreza (Qomsheh).
Design and Role: The design of Yalmah rugs is similar to other nomads. The broken lines and geometries are simplified shapes, as well as perfectly defined motifs of the Yalmah carpet.
