28 thousand tons of low-suffering rice was produced in Gilan

Jahansaz stated that due to the rains, the ratoon harvest from 7,000 hectares of Gilan’s paddy fields has remained, and specified: with the cessation of the rains, the rice farmers will immediately go to the rice fields and will harvest the remaining rattan.
He announced the production of white rice from ratoon last year as 13 thousand tons and said: it is predicted that 28 thousand tons of white rice from ratoon cultivation will be obtained in Gilan this year.
The deputy director of production improvement of Gilan Jihad Agricultural Organization said: mechanized production of rice reduces the cost of white rice production and most ratoon is harvested mechanized in Gilan province.
He specified: Amlash, Rudsar and Soomehsara counties have grown the most ratoon in Gilan, respectively.
