40% increase in grape production in Neishabour
The director of Neishabour Agricultural Jihad said:
This year, the grape yield of the city has increased by 40% compared to last year.
Seyyed Gholamreza Nabavi Namghi stated:
Grape fruit is being harvested from 775 hectares of vineyards. This year, 9300 tons of crop is expected to be harvested from Neishabour vineyards.
The deputy of Khorasan Razavi Agricultural Jihad Organization reminded:
The most important grape cultivars produced in Neishabour city include Asgari, Lal, Fakhri, Sahibi, Shahroudi, Bidaneh and Peykami.
The director of Neishabour Agricultural Jihad mentioned Asgari, the predominant cultivar of grapes compatible with environment,and added:
by producing 9300 tons of grapes with an average of 12 tons per hectare, the income of Neishabour gardeners will be 37 billion Rials.
Nabavi pointed out:
The grapes produced in the city are of good quality and play a significant role in the development of the agricultural sector and increase farmers’ incomes.
Grapes are one of the products that are compatible with the climatic conditions of Neishabour city and very high quality grapes are produced
in this city.
He reminded:
Neishabour city with more than 14 thousand hectares of orchards including plums, pears,
peaches and apricots is one of the richest centers for the production of tree fruits in Khorasan Razavi province.
Neishabour is one of the largest cities in northeastern Iran, the historical and former capital of the western part of Greater Khorasan,
the capital of Taherian after Merv and the former capital of the Seljuk Empire, one of the cities of the Old Silk Road, the center of Neishabour,
the second most populous city of Khorasan after Mashhad and the third largest city East of Iran.
