The director of Kashmar Agricultural Jihad, referring to the beginning of the grape harvest season,
announced the conversion of 75% of Kashmir grapes into raisins.
Mohammad Swabi, stating that the grape harvest has already started from the level of 3200 hectares, said:
15 tons of grapes are harvested.
He stated that only 25% of Kashmir grapes are used for fresh consumption and the other 75% are processed in the form of green raisins,
adding that in addition to domestic consumption, the product has an export aspect.
He expressed hope that the guaranteed purchase price of this product would increase and that this product would be blocked for gardeners,
and asked the authorities to prevent the import of Chinese raisins in order to support domestic production.
