This city, with 75% of the cultivated area, has been able to occupy 85% of the total barberry production in Iran and the world.
Due to recent droughts, barberry production has decreased by 25 to 35 percent compared to last year,
and it is predicted that due to the average yield of 960 kg per hectare, the amount of barberry production in the city will reach 4,100 tons.

12 thousand 500 urban and rural households are active in the chain of production, distribution and processing
of barberry products and provides 1,500 job opportunities every year, which is important in the migration rate of villagers.
