Beginning of grape harvest in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad orchards

Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Deputy Minister of Crop Production Improvement, announced the harvest of grapes in more than 4,500 hectares of orchards in the province.

Reza Enayati added:
In each hectare of vineyards in this province, 10 to 12 tons of grapes are harvested from different types of grapes, including Askari and Rish Baba.

He stated that most of the grapes in this province are produced in Dena city and Sisakht city, and said:
25,000 tons of grapes from the annual crop of the province’s farmers are distributed and consumed in the province.

Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Deputy Minister of Crop Production Improvement, pointed out:
70% of the province’s grapes are exported to Khuzestan, Fars, Bushehr, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari and Tehran provinces.

Enayati added:
It is predicted that 35,000 tons of grapes will be harvested from the province’s vineyards this year,
which is an increase of 4,000 tons compared to the same period last year.

He mentioned the appropriate climatic conditions,
rainfall and proper management as the reasons for the increase in grape harvest in this province and added:
part of the production of vineyards in this province is converted into juice, raisins, raisins and sap.
