Ali Alimardani added: it is predicted that more than 190 thousand tons of grapes will be harvested from the orchards of this city this year. According to him, the production of grapes in Takestan city has decreased by 35% this year compared to the same period last year. Alimardani said: Last year, more than 290,000 tons of grapes were harvested from the gardens of this city.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Takestan city pointed out the reasons for the decrease in grape production in this city and added: frost, hail, increase in temperature in June and the prevalence and spread of hair chain pests in vineyards are the main reasons for the decrease in grape yield.
According to him, more than 80% of the grape product of this city is converted into raisins, and the raisins produced will be exported in addition to domestic consumption.
