Hojjat Aref announced: Mehran city has 75 hectares of vineyards, of which more than 60 hectares are fertile.
Aref added: The predominant cultivar cultivated in the city is ruby ​​grapes, and the high production yield per unit area is one of the advantages that has made farmers turn to the production of this type of grape.
Regarding the grape harvest season, he added: The grape harvest in the city has already started and will continue until the end of July.
Aref pointed out that about five and a half tons of grapes will be harvested per hectare of the area under cultivation of this crop this year, and predicted: 330 tons of grapes will be harvested from the gardens of Mehran city.
