The grape tree with the scientific name of grapes belongs to the grape family and there are about 11 genera and more than 600 species in this family.
This plant is shrubby and creeping and has ivy in front of some leaves. Grape fruit is divided into seeded and seedless. Each of these two species is seen in red, black, yellow, and almost green.
This fruit grows best in areas with a maximum temperature of more than 40 degrees Celsius and a minimum of not less than 15 degrees below zero. Iran is the tenth largest producer of grapes in the world.
Some types of grapes that are cultivated in Iran are: Kundari, Shahroudi, Yaghouti, Asgari, Mehdi Khani, seedless, red seedless, nut, shani, beard, raisin, Chirkink Bastak, Sahebi, Fakhri, Nabati, Shahani, Yazdani, Maraghei, Khalili, Gohar, Lal Hosseini, Khorosi tail, Razeghi Shirazi and Alvan.
South Khorasan province and in the meantime Zirkuh city due to having suitable weather conditions with this type of product has become the center of production of this product.
Grape fruit is also cultivated in most of the villages of Zirkuh city. The planting of this crop in some villages such as Mohammadabad and Cheshmeh Bid is single and major and in some villages it is multi-species and more detailed.
Due to the favorable weather conditions, in addition to other fruits such as jujube, barberry, apricot and almond, which are grown as several crops in one part of the land, grapes are also planted in front of it.
Especially that in Abiz, different types of this product can be found, among which we can mention Asgari, Sahebi, Elahi, Hosseini, black grape, red grape and Sangak grapes.
Harvesting grapes, unlike other places that are harvested all at once and in a certain period of time, in Abiz due to the variety and early and late ripening of the crop in a row and continuously and in a period of one month and maybe It also takes longer.
Grapes are effective for treating dysentery, purifying the blood, relieving constipation, treating gastritis and intestinal inflammation.
