The director of Shadegan Agricultural Jihad announced the beginning of Rutb harvest from 12,000 hectares of groves in this area.

Khalil Maniat stated: Due to the warming of the weather in Khuzestan, the harvest of rotab has started a few days ago in the groves of Shadegan and will continue until the end of August.

He added: It is predicted that by the end of August, 26,000 tons of rotab will be harvested from Shadegan groves and after packing in the city’s workshops, it will be distributed in the destination markets.

The director of Shadegan Agricultural Jihad stated: The area of ​​Shadegan groves is 13,900 hectares, of which 12,000 hectares are fertile and 1,900 hectares are infertile and young.

Maniat said: This year, due to the conditions that existed in the discussion of water shortage, part of the groves of Shadegan dried up, and for this reason, it is predicted that the amount of rotab harvest will decrease compared to last year.
