Ardabil kilims and varnishes are becoming a global brand
Alireza Dabbagh Abdollahi stated in the meeting of the Rural and Nomadic Development Headquarters in Ardabil Governor’s Office: Although the quantitative and qualitative indicators in the development of rural handicrafts and nomadic society are not available, but due to the existing capabilities, Handicrafts should be done in villages and nomadic areas.
He stated that there are 93 villages in Ardabil province that are prone to the development of tourism industry and handicrafts, and specified: Of these, 44 villages have unparalleled capacity and capability in the field of tourism and the rest in the field of handicrafts.
Deputy Minister of Handicrafts, Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Ardabil described investing in these villages with the aim of developing the tourism industry and attracting tourism along with producing valuable handicrafts as one of the serious priorities and programs and said: We have made it one of the top priorities and programs to produce good quality handicrafts.
Dabbagh Abdollahi added: “Free training in weaving, entering the market for the supply of products and presenting various projects will be done by the cultural heritage so that handicraft products will be offered in the name of the same place and place.”
In another part of his speech, he said: “This year, due to the existence of global brands in the field of handicraft production, we decided to move in a similar direction, considering the importance of producing handicrafts in Ardabil province.” Especially kilim and verni in Namin, Anbaran and Moghan regions should be considered as a global brand.
Dabbagh Abdollahi added: “The Verni and Kilim handicraft production project is expected to be approved by the Technical Committee next month after being approved by international organizations as an industrial property in the technical committee.
“If this monopolistic production is formed and consolidated, we can certainly gain the right global markets in this area and prevent some speculation and sabotage in the supply of better quality products,” he said.
The Deputy Minister of Handicrafts, Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Ardabil Province stated that one of the approaches of the Cultural Heritage Organization is to try to set up a handicraft village in different provinces and added: “We will try to set up a handicraft village in Ardabil province next year.”
