In the late 19th century, during the late Qajar dynasty, the textile industry was expanding its capitalist relations, which inevitably and inevitably invaded the world, seeking to plunder raw materials and seize markets to sell more goods and profits.
Iran’s structure at that time was doubly weak: on the one hand, due to historical and socio-economic weakness, it was impossible to develop capitalism and, consequently, the emergence of a strong capitalist class with national support, and on the other hand, government dependence on It was Russian and British colonialism that did not inspire any dynamism in Iran’s national economy and sought to dismantle and destroy domestic industries and ultimately to dominate economic spheres and control and influence domestic policy. And foreigners were able to carry out their sinister intentions.
In addition, the low purchasing power of the people – the supply of raw materials – the low texture during the day – the emergence of weaving machines and commercial competitions in the late Qajar period can be considered as effective factors in the obsolete factors of cashmere industry.
However, by strengthening the cultural beliefs related to employment in this field (handicrafts), providing special privileges to a limited number of employees in this field of art, and comprehensive support from these artists, we can see a great change in this field.
