Export of 40000 tons of Qazvin raisins to other countries

Deputy Minister of Crop Production Improvement of Qazvin Agricultural Jihad Organization said:
the amount of raisin production in the province is between 45 to 60 thousand tons,
of which about 30 to 40 thousand tons are exported to other countries.
Massoud Rabbani in the meeting of organizational management development held in Qazvin Agricultural Jihad Organization, stated:
32,000 hectares of agricultural lands in the province have been planted with grapes and the average production
of this product in the province is 10 tons per hectare. With the implementation of modern irrigation systems,
scaffolding of vineyards and the establishment of sanitary gardens, it is possible to increase the yield of grape production by 2 to 3 times.

He introduced the implementation of new irrigation systems in vineyards, scaffolding, promotion of mechanization in vineyards,
production of grape seedlings, implementation of ipm management plan (using methods in pest management)
to control pests and diseases of grapes and principles of proper nutrition in vineyards. He enumerated the measures taken in the province.

The deputy of Jihad Agricultural Organization of Qazvin province reminded:
At present, there are 26 active raisin production factories in the province.
