Grape harvest began from 11,000 hectares of Malekan vineyards

The director of Malekan agricultural jihad said: the grape harvest started from 11,000 hectares of vineyards in Malekan city.

Hossein Ali Fathi added:
Every year, 250,000 tons of grapes are harvested from Malekan vineyards. Due to the spring frost and rain on Friday,
September 30, Malekan gardeners are expected to harvest 60% less grapes this year compared to last year.

He added:
Malekan city with 65% of grape production is the first place in the province and 7% share is the third place in the country.

The director of Malekan Agricultural Jihad continued:
95% of the grapes produced by Malekan are converted to acid,
which after being packaged in Malekan green cleaning factories and Maragheh and Bonab cities,
70% of which are exported to the Persian Gulf countries and 30% to European countries
and 5% Production and the rest are converted into fresh food and derivatives.

Fathi stated that more than 80% of the landowners in the cities and villages are engaged in viticulture,
adding that the main source of income for the residents of this city is viticulture,
and in addition, jobs have been created for hundreds of local and non-native workers.

He stated that about 25 varieties of grapes are produced in Malekan, adding:
The most important of them are white, royal and salty grapes.

According to this report, every year the grape harvest season in Malekan city starts on September 6 and continues until the end of October.
