Harvesting 34,000 tons of ruby grapes in parts of Fars
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Jahrom city said: grape harvest is continuing from 4 thousand and 405 hectares of Jahrom vineyards.
Behjoo continued: out of this amount, 270 hectares are dedicated to planting ruby grapes, which are expected to yield about 34,000 tons of grapes.
Shahabi, an expert in charge of the horticulture unit of the Jihad Agricultural Management of Jahrom city, also said: The most cultivated cultivars of ruby grapes in this city are red, and the Kurdish sector is one of the main cultivation areas of this crop in this city.
He added: The reasonable price and early maturity of Jahrom ruby grape product has caused most of this product to be exported to major cities such as Tehran, Mashhad, Tabriz, Isfahan and Shiraz.
Shahabi stated: The harvest of ruby grapes in Jahrom city will continue until the end of June.
