Harvesting 349 thousand tons of grapes from the orchards of Hamedan
The horticulture director of the Jihad Agriculture Organization of Hamadan province said:
It is predicted that 349 thousand tons of grapes will be harvested from the orchards of the province this year.
Hojjatullah Shahbazi stated:
This year, more than 20,000 hectares of garden lands in the province have been allocated for the cultivation of various grape cultivars.
He pointed out that this year we had an estimated production of 392 thousand tons of grapes from the orchards of the province, he specified:
taking into account the damage of 43 thousand tons,
the harvest forecast reached 349 thousand tons of grapes from the area under cultivation of these orchards.
The director of agriculture of the Jihad Agriculture Organization of Hamadan province pointed out:
Last year, 356 thousand tons of grapes were harvested and produced from the orchards of the province.
He stated:
Most of the production cultivars of this product are uncultivated raisin grapes, because we are witnessing mass production of raisins in the province.
Shahbazi continued:
seedless raisins, rubies, Shahani, Asgari and Fakhri are among the grape production cultivars in Hamadan province.
He further announced the harvest of 10,471 tons of grapes, equivalent to three percent of the province’s orchards, and added:
This amount of harvested grapes, which are mostly sour and sweet, are ruby and slightly miscellaneous,
and in the market due to the desire of some people to A case form is provided.
Shahbazi, stating that it is not yet possible to harvest grapes in the province, announced:
The official harvest of grapes from the province’s orchards will begin in September of this year.
