Harvesting 57,000 tons of grapes from Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari orchards

The director of horticulture affairs of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Agricultural Jihad announced the end of grape harvest in vineyards throughout the province.
Seyed Taher Nourbakhsh said: 5,000 hectares of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari gardens are dedicated to grape trees.

He added: based on an average of 12 tons per hectare, the grape yield of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari orchards reached 57,000 tons this year.

Noorbakhsh added: the yield of vineyards in this province has increased by 8% compared to the previous year.

He described the grape cultivars of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari as Asgari, Black, Red Qazvini without seeds, beads and rubies.

The director of horticulture affairs of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Agricultural Jihad added: half of the grape crop of this province is consumed fresh and the rest, in addition to being sent to neighboring provinces, is turned into raisins, grape juice and grape juice.

Noorbakhsh reminded: about 7% of the products of the province’s vineyards are also turned into water and powder.

He said: Grape harvest in this province starts every year in early August in the tropical parts of the province and continues until early November.

The highest level of orchards and grape harvest in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province is related to Kiar city.
