Iranian handicrafts ranked third in the world

In the realm of globalization, it is increasingly necessary to have an independent identity, he said, referring to the income of many countries in tourism and handicrafts.
One of the priorities of UNESCO is cultural tourism, which should be highlighted through education, said Dr Tavakol. UNESCO seeks to take coherent and coordinated action by combining production training and training activities and the cooperation of nations.
One of the main programs of UNESCO is the development of handicrafts for sustainable development by examining and empowering the professions of groups of people, especially women and youth, for more income, she said.
The interaction between the Handicrafts Organization and the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization has an effective role in the employment rate, said the Deputy Minister of Industries and Mines and the head of the country’s handicrafts organization.
He mentioned the presentation of extension programs, presentation of tourism characteristics, introduction of experiences and training of original quality programs as programs in the priority of this organization.
In order for the authorities to pay attention to poverty alleviation and the preservation of cultural identity, we need to collect quantitative and qualitative information, which UNESCO is collecting on its agenda, he said.
The quantitative and qualitative improvement of handicrafts is possible only with a comprehensive effort and program, otherwise the risk of marketization, stratification and pretense will divert our democratization from the goals of handicrafts, he said.
