The deputy director of Malayer Agricultural Jihad said:
the highest grape production in the world is 14.5 tons per hectare, while this amount is 21.5 tons per hectare in Malayer.

Hojjatullah Mostafavi stated in the first regional competition of the top grape clusters in Malayer:
Last year, 106 tons per hectare were harvested from one of Malayer orchards.

He informed about the talent of 70% of Malayer lands for growing grapes and added:
cultivating crops in these lands needs enough water.

Mostafavi pointed out:
Currently, 10,000 hectares of the city’s lands are under grape cultivation.

Referring to the problem of water shortage for this crop, he said that sprinkler irrigation is the best way to grow grapes.

The deputy director of the Malayer Agricultural Jihad said that the sprinkler irrigation project has been implemented in 70 hectares
of Malayer orchards so far, adding:
This amount is not enough and should be increased.

While appreciating the factors of holding this competition, he specified:
