Onion production decreased in Lorestan
The director of agriculture of Lorestan Agricultural Jihad announced the production of 51,544 tons of onion in the province.
Azim Dadgar added: The amount of onion production in the province last year was 69,088 tons, which this year has decreased to 51,544 tons.
He continued: Also, last year the area under cultivation of this crop in the province was 1,016 hectares, which this year has reached 1,516 hectares.
The judge stated that the yield forecast in both years is estimated at 34 tons per hectare, and specified: Dorud city with 738 hectares of cultivated area and production of 25 thousand and 92 tons, has the highest onion production in the province.
The judge added: Fortunately, no damage has been reported in this regard and this product will be exported to other provinces.
