Mohammad Jafari stated: Carpet related activities are carried out in a non-specialized field, and when people enter an activity in which they do not specialize, many problems arise for that sector.
He added: The activities in the field of handmade carpets have become commercialized, which means that every person enters this field to receive money, which is not true. If the activities related to carpets in the field of painting, design, dyeing, weaving, supervision, weaving, marketing and market presence are done professionally, then it can be said that the activities are done with planning and will be spent on it and as a result Will succeed.
The carpet manufacturer added that he wants the success of planning, adding: They say that we are not up to date on the design and role of handmade carpets, who should update this field, what organization and group is responsible for this issue, the production department, The design department and the dyeing department do not specialize in this work.
He continued: There is a wide global market in the field of handmade carpets and Iran is the first producer of handmade carpets in the world, but unfortunately there is no advertising and marketing for it and no one is looking to see what the world market wants and what it is looking for.
Jafari pointed out: Unfortunately, vegetable dyes have been removed and ink dyes have replaced them, and the raw materials are worn out and destroyed. There is eighth grade instead of first grade in the market and it is given to the weaver.
He added: In the current situation, from the chef to the supervisor and the marketer, they do not know how to do their job and everywhere there is a defect and we should not expect to have a place in the global market.
The manufacturer of handmade carpets lamented that no one is doing anything for the prosperity of Iranian handmade carpets, said: Currently, Iranian machine-made carpets are sold in the world market instead of handmade carpets, because it has the right size and market-friendly color and design.
He stated: In the years when exports were free, Iranian carpets were smuggled to foreign countries, their designs and designs were copied and the Iranian carpet market was broken and foreign countries replaced Iranian handmade carpets.
