Jajim is a braid of colorful spun wool. Sometimes cotton yarn is used for the thin fabric of jajim. Jajim is a kind of double-breasted undergarment and is hand-woven from a thick fabric similar to plush, which is thinner than plush, and it is woven from fine colored yarns of cotton or cotton or a mixture of the two or pp yarn. Jajimas do not have feathers and can be used on both. The only difference in Jajim fabrics is the combination of color and elegance of the yarn and the design of Jajim and the patterns that they create on it.
The colors used in Jajim are in 6 to 8 colors and most of the traditional and plant colors are used. Simple and geometric designs are often used in both striped and star shapes in Jajim texture.
Jajimeh weaving is common as one of the handicrafts in Iran, and in some provinces including East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Kermanshah, Kurdistan, Hamedan, Lorestan and Fars.
